Access Control System Installation
Access control systems are installed to allow entrance to a property, a building, or a room to authorized persons & restrict entry to any unauthorized persons. Physical access control can be achieved by a human (a guard, bouncer, or receptionist), through mechanical means such as locks and keys. Electronic access control systems utilize cards, keyfobs or other biometric means presented to a reader installed at the entrance of a room or building. Within these environments, physical key management may also be employed as a means of further managing and monitoring access to mechanically keyed areas or access to certain physical assets. With the use of an electronic access system you don’t have to issue keys to personnel that can be lost or duplicated. If a card gets lost you can simply delete the card & re-issue a new one with no worry of someone entering without being tracked. Access can be granted per door by individual user, time schedule, date or by “first authorized person in”. Forcing the door open or propping it open past the set time allowed can cause an alarm that is either silent or audible.
Single Door Access Control Panels have a built in web browser that allows easy programming of new cards & users by computer. Unlock door from web browser if needed. Assign employee access level & schedules, 24/7 or 8-5 M-F. Add special days, ex. no access on Christmas. Allow employees into one door without issuing a key. If they leave, simply delete them from the system.
Multi Door Access Control System (Single Door System plus) can Disarm Security Alarm System by card per user, from additional indoor reader. Allow access to additional doors from existing user/card list. Front entry door can be put on a “shift”- unlocked M-F 8-5. Locked all other times. Panels can be web-hosted to link several sites together, into one manageable system.
Access Devices- Readers can be Indoor or Outdoor Small style & “proximity”, no need for swipe.12 Button Keypad can be added for access by alternate “Code Entry”.
Cards and keyfobs are “proximity” style- no swipe. Carry cards in wallet or keyfobs to hang on keychain.
Electronic Locks are Electric Strike, Rim Exit Device (crash bar) or Electrified Lever.
Power Supplies are DC Power Supply 12VDC or 24VDC with 14AH of battery backup. Can be programmed to unlock on fire alarm.
